Toga Adventures for all Greek citizens:

1.      Breakfast only

No toga, but all the food, drink and music of the morning.  If you see that the people that have toga are having more fun, laughing and writing on each other with Sharpie Markers, you can always purchase your own toga on site separately on the day of the event while supplies last.

2.     Toga Breakfast & Party

Start your Homecoming Saturday in Bloom off right with a 9:00 a.m. breakfast and toga party!  Music, friendship, togas, Sharpie markers, eggs, BACON, sausage, hash browns, fruit, COFFEE, bagels, and YOUR FIRST DRINK ON THE HOUSE (Beer, Bloody Mary, or juice)!

3.     The Mile Run (and party and breakfast)

Everything included in the TOGA PARTY/BREAKFAST from above...PLUS - One mile run in and around the Bloomsburg Town Park (see map below).  An entry level challenge and introduction to Toga Running and Toga Partying!

4.    The 5K Run (and party and breakfast)

Everything included in the TOGA PARTY/BREAKFAST from above...PLUS - 3.1 miles starting at the Wagon Shed and including the Bloom Town Park, Ft. McClure road and other great, low-traffic streets and sidewalks (see map below)  A larger challenge for those who might identify more with the original Olympic Athletes.

5.    The 10K Run (and party and breakfast)

Everything included in the TOGA PARTY/BREAKFAST from above...PLUS - 6.2 miles (approx.) starting at the Wagon Shed and including the Bloom Town Park, Ft. McClure road, the Rupert covered bridge, Bloomsburg Fairgrounds and other great, low-traffic streets and sidewalks (see map below).  The LARGEST challenge for those who pay the greatest appreciation for the Olympic Athletes.

FAQ'S

*(you'll want to read these)

QUESTION: "Do I have to wear a toga to run?
ANSWER: "YES!  ONLY TOGA WEARERS ALLOWED!

QUESTION: "Don't you think that will limit the number of participants?"
ANSWER: YES!  But we only want the kind of participants that like to have fun!  People with a sense of adventure.  Folks with confidence.  People that don't mind sweating-up a sheet.

QUESTION: "Who benefits from this run?"
ANSWER: The Greek Students of Bloomsburg University will benefit from this run, and therefore the community.  Any money generated by this event will be used to teach Greek students about Community service needs, Scholarship, and dedication to your Alma Mater.  This means, money generated in this run will be LEVERAGED and STAY HERE!

Fun Fact: Bloomsburg University Greek students have helped staff local running race with volunteers for at least the past 10 years.  Without their help, many of these races you enjoy, would never have happened.

QUESTION: "What do I wear beneath my toga?"
ANSWER: What happens in Toga Trot, stays in Toga Trot  :)

QUESTION: "What if after wearing my toga for 1 or 5 miles, I've fallen in love with it, and I love the special way it makes me feel?"
ANSWER: That is going to happen.  Plan on it!  That is why the Togas are yours to keep as part of your registration price!  Organizers encourage our runners to wear their toga for the entire day as they experience Bloomsburg Homecoming, or the Football game or even go shopping in Walmart (where a toga actually seems kind of mild and "sane").  Your post run "musk" will add authenticity to the ancient greek feel of your attire (and help you fit in at Walmart).

QUESTION: "Why?  Why do we need a toga run?"
ANSWER: If you have to ask this question, you might not be our kind of runner.  See Mr. Belushi for your answer.

QUESTION: "What else can I do from this location?"
ANSWER: If you get tired of having a good time at the Wagon Shed home base location, you can always walk over to Market Street (a few blocks to the east) and watch the end of the Homecoming parade.  Want something less hectic?  Walk down to the town park and look at the Susquehanna river, or the pond and walking trails in the park.  Maybe watch a soccer game or baseball.  So many things close to our "home base".

Covered bridges, railroad bridges, Beautiful homes and properties, and much more. Hydration at the halfway point.  Lots of beatiful scenery to enjoy on this course.
