Step 1 - LEARN

DURATION:

This route offers you a 3 - 5 hour paddling adventure on calm Susquehanna River waters.

SKILL LEVEL:

Any level paddler can navigate the waters of this trip.

WATER:

R.A.C. will put your into either the Susquehanna River, or Fishing Creek to start your journey. This determination will be made using a variety of factors, and will be at the discretion of the R.A.C. staff.

LOGISTICS:

This trip begins at our shop (and trip end) location at 100 Ave. D & H north, Riverside, PA 17868. Drive to this location, park, get prepared and we will shuttle you and your gear to the start location.

SOME OF THE SIGHTS YOU WILL SEE ON YOUR TRIP:

Rupert bridge

This is our primary "put in" location for this trip.

Fishing Creek

Starting under the Rupert bridge means starting on Fishing Creek.

Bloom Park

This is our secondary launch location for this trip.

Park Launch

Has some advantages to Fishing Creek

On The Susquehanna

Groups tend to spread out quickly.

The quiet

I'm always pleasantly struck by the quiet of this paddle.

Railroad bridge

Presently abandoned, offers a wonderful sight from the River.

Roaring Creek

River left on this paddle, Roaring Creek is a nice place to swim.

Island exploration

Take a break on a river island. Always an adventure!

class 1 water

This means, smooth sailing for all skill levels.

Single Kayaks

Offer great maneuverability and room for your stuff.

Group experiences

Call or look at our event schedule to be part of a larger group experience.

Races

R.A.C. can also help you get involved in more competitive offerings, if that "floats your boat".

Canoes

Maximum room and a great team experience on the Susquehanna river classic boat.

Paddleboards

This trip offers a good to challenging distance paddleboard experience. Ask advice before booking.

Eagles!

We see them just about every trip.

Look for the white tail and head

You'll most likely see eagles perched, but when they fly...it's awesome!

Relax.

This trip is about quiet and peace and beauty. Take it in. Appreciate it.
