I have always admired people and relationships mature enough to realize when the differences are irreparable, and that splitting amicably is the only real solution.

The alternative is what my parents did. They fought like vicious animals. Attacked each other in every sense of that word, causing irreparable harm to each other, and to everyone around them...all while repeatedly proclaiming their “love” for each other and the sactity of the institution of marriage. Every cop, fireman and Social worker knew our house.

Then they split anyway.

I personally feel like it’s time to have some mature conversations about ways to divide up the stuff, before we get into violence land...and then split anyway.

this is where America finds itself today.

We are split and polarized and it’s not going to get better. Media is not going to be able to afford to start delivering reliable and unbiased news. The “political teams” want their red meat, and they won’t click or subscribe to anything less. If your not 100% with our team…you are the problem. In that environment: there is no hope for clear, thoughtful conversation or dialogue. What we want is a mob…and all that comes with it.

And what comes with a mob is violence and lack of civility, and loss of rights, and no due process. This is the United States we are heading for, if we don’t have a mature conversation like adults and agree to divide things up like those divorced people I admire.
