Why I've decided to organize my new website around me.
- Am I conceited?
- Am I elitist?
- Am I a narcissist?
Maybe... you decide.
I organized the website like I did because deciding to do business with me, or consult with me, or just call me your friend - means your complete experience revolves around me, and my philosophies. So why not just come clean about what that means up front? Who wants to be surprised later?
"What do you do for a living?"
Frankly, I get this question a lot, and it's a tough question.
I built this website to answer that question. I want people to look around the pages and realize that I'm into a whole bunch of stuff.
I'm into so many things, because I've always been the kind of person that sees things that need to be done. So many opportunities in this wonderful life. And I feel like I'm fairly capable. And I feel like this life is not a dress rehearsal. So if you put that together, you get a person that is willing to try just about anything. My goal is to be successful, live a "good" ethical life, improve our community and make life more interesting and beautiful for everyone.
Pompus? Self Important?
Is it pompous to make my very first page a giant photo of me and my dog Riley?
Maybe. But I'd prefer to call it honest.
I'm who you have to deal with, if we decide to move forward (Riley is just my advisor). I don't take myself very seriously, and as you read on, and get to know me a little better, I hope you feel like self-importance is not something I'm interested in pursuing.
Here's what I hope you do experience on this website:
- I hope you enjoy the website.
- I hope you find something we can do together.
- I hope you understand my motivations better.
- I hope you are challenged on some level.
...and at the end you exploring, I hope you decide that you want to "join me", and we decide to move forward and do something awesome together.
Thanks for caring enough to check it out.
